Robert Noyce Teacher Scholarship Program

Robert Noyce Teacher Scholarship Program

This Noyce Scholars program, Increasing and Inspiring Highly Effective Secondary STEM Teachers for High-Need, Culturally Diverse School Districts, supports students who major in biology, chemistry, mathematics or physics and are willing to teach middle school or high school STEM subjects in a High-Need school district. Made possible by a National Science Foundation grant, this scholarship award will cover the full cost of attendance up to $18,000 for students in the final two years of their undergraduate STEM degree.

Requirements

  • Major in biology, chemistry, mathematics or physics
  • Teach in a high-need school district for 2 years for every year of scholarship support in biology, chemistry, mathematics or physics.
  • Participate in teaching experiences and professional development, both before and after graduation, provided by program.

Benefits

  • Full cost of attendance up to $18,000 during 3rd and 4th years of undergraduate studies*
  • Mentoring and support through the degree
  • Opportunities for informal and formal teaching experiences in secondary schools
  • Mentoring and professional development through the first years of teaching.

*Scholarship must be repaid if a recipient falls below GPA to stay on track for graduation, is
dismissed, or does not complete the teaching requirement after graduation.

This scholarship can be stacked with Inspired to Teach Oklahoma Scholarship and the Teacher
Shortage Employment Incentive Program (TSEIP).
