Quad State Scholarship

Undergraduate Students

Students from Arkansas, Kansas, Missouri, or Texas that meet regular admission requirements (not admitted alternatively or on probation) and live on campus, may be eligible for a scholarship waiving 100% of their nonresident tuition . Nonresident tuition is $280 per hour, in addition to in-state tuition. Students are still responsible for paying in-state tuition. This program waives only the nonresident portion. Interested students must complete a general scholarship application by August 3, 2020.

Graduate Students

Students from from Arkansas, Kansas, Missouri, or Texas that meet regular graduate admission requirements (not admitted conditionally) may be eligible for a scholarship waiving 80-100% of their nonresident tuition. Regularly admitted graduate students will receive a waiver for 80% of their nonresident tuition ($305.50 per hour). Graduate students that live on campus may receive 100% of their nonresident tuition waived. Nonresident tuition is charged in addition to in-state tuition and students are still responsible for paying in-state tuition. Interested students must complete a general scholarship application by August 3, 2020.

Legacy Students

A legacy student is an undergraduate or graduate student whose parent or grandparent earned a degree (bachelor’s or master’s degree) from NSU. Legacy students that meet undergraduate or graduate regular admission requirements (not admitted alternatively, on probation, or conditionally) may qualify to have 100% of their nonresident tuition waived. There is no on-campus residency requirement for Legacy students beyond freshman year, however, it is highly encouraged. Interested students must complete a general scholarship application by August 3, 2020. 

Tribal Heritage

Undergraduate and graduate students that are members of a federally recognized tribe may be eligible for a nonresident tuition waiver. Students that meet undergraduate or graduate regular admission requirements (not admitted alternatively, on probation, or conditionally) may qualify to have 100% of their nonresident tuition waived. Uploading a copy of the student’s tribal citizenship card is required. There is no on-campus residency requirement for Tribal Heritage students beyond freshman year, however, it is highly encouraged. Interested students must complete a general scholarship application by August 3, 2020.
